Welcome to Eyedea

Dr. Arpit Patel grew up in Rockford, IL, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.

Upon graduating, he continued to pursue his academic interests and went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked directly with ophthalmology to provide pre and post-operative care for glaucoma and cataract surgeries. Furthermore, Dr. Patel has extensive training in treating and managing ocular emergencies as well as retinal disease including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Patel is also a member of the Texas Board of Optometry and American Optometric Association.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time attending concerts, exploring East Austin coffee shops and playing tennis and golf.
